Hiram Meléndez Juarbe es Catedrático de la Escuela de Derecho de la Universidad de Puerto Rico. Enseña o ha enseñado derecho constitucional y administrativo, derecho a la intimidad y tecnología, derechos de autor y temas en propiedad intelectual, derecho de internet y nuevas tecnologías. Fue fundador de la Clínica de Nuevas Tecnologías, Propiedad Intelectual y Sociedad así como co-fundador y co-director legal de Creative Commons Puerto Rico.  Es egresado de la Universidad de Puerto Rico (BA 1997, JD 2000), de Harvard University (LL.M. 2002) y de New York University (LL.M. 2008, JSD 2013). Es co-fundador del blog jurídico derechoalderecho.org. Ha sido Profesor Visitante en la Universidad de Ottawa y en el Levin College of Law de la Universidad de Florida. Ha sido, además, Miembro y Presidente de la Comisión de Derechos Civiles de Puerto Rico, Decano Asociado de la Escuela de Derecho y Ayudante Especial de la Rectora del Recinto de Río Piedras, UPR. Actualmente es miembro de la Junta Examinadora de Aspirantes al Ejercicio de la Abogacía y Presidente de la Junta de Directores de la organización Ayuda Legal Puerto Rico.

Hiram Meléndez-Juarbe is Full Professor at the University of Puerto Rico Law School, where he teaches or has taught constitutional law, privacy and technology, copyright and intellectual property, cyberlaw, and administrative law. He is founder of the UPR New Technologies, Intellectual Property and Society Clinic and was co-legal lead of Creative Commons Puerto Rico. Hiram graduated from the University of Puerto Rico (BA 1997, JD 2000), Harvard University (LL.M. 2002) and New York University (LL.M. 2008, JSD 2013). He is co-founder of the blawg derechoalderecho.org. Hiram has been Visiting Professor at the University of Ottawa and the Leving College of Law, University of Florida. He was also a Member and President of the Puerto Rico Civil Rights Commission and has served as Associate Dean of the Law School and as Special Advisor to the UPR-RP Chancellor. He is currently Member of the Puerto Rico Board of Bar Examiners and President of the Board of Ayuda Legal Puerto Rico.
